About us
We help homeowners figure out what’s bugging them — and connect them with licensed local pros when they need help.
Our mission
Finding a pest in your home is stressful. You want to know what it is, whether it’s dangerous and what to do next — but the answers online are often confusing, contradictory or written to scare you into a fast decision.
Beetle Detectives exists to make that easier. Think of us as the detective on your side: we publish clear, science-based guides that help you identify what you’re seeing, understand the real risk and keep it from coming back.
And when a problem is bigger than a DIY fix, we give you a free, simple way to reach an independent, licensed pest control provider in your area — so you don’t have to spend hours searching for someone you can trust.

The team
Beetle Detectives is an independent website built for one purpose: helping homeowners get clear, honest answers about pests and an easy way to reach local help.
Hasnain — Founder & Editor
Beetle Detectives was started by Hasnain, who has spent the past six months working in pest control content and lead generation. In that time, he has researched and written guides on ants, termites, spiders and other common household pests, and seen first-hand how hard it can be for homeowners to find clear, honest answers online.
That’s why he built Beetle Detectives: to give people a calm, easy-to-understand place to identify what they’ve found, learn the real risks and reach a local professional when they need one. Every guide is researched against trusted sources such as university extension services, the EPA and the CDC, and if you spot something that needs fixing, Hasnain reviews every correction personally.

Our guides are written to help you understand pests, not to push you toward a quote. You can read more in our Editorial Policy.
